SAVINGS/PAYBACK

Urinal Water Control Units

Uncontrolled Consumption:  A 12 litre cistern flushing every 20 minutes, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year equates to an annual consumption of 315 cubic metres.

Controlled Consumption (Savaflush unit fitted): Even if the urinals are in use every 20 minutes over an 8 hour day, 5 day week, the annual consumption would be approx: 82 cubic metres.

Savings

In this example a saving of 223 cubic metres would be expected, achieving payback well within 12 months.

Check your water volumetric charges against this example, to calculate your anticipated savings.

Flow Regulators

Unregulated taps can discharge in excess of 20 litres per minute.  If the flow was to be regulated to 6 or 8 litres then 25 to 50% savings could be achieved.  This however will vary with user levels, misuse factors and type of establishment.

Benefits include reduced water bills, flooding damage and equalised distribution of available flow.

PIR Operated Taps and W/C Flush Valves

Savings will again vary with type of establishment, however, you cannot improve on "Water On Demand" together with maximum protection to users with regard to cross contamination.
